Streetfunk Presents 'The Fringe Battle'

Streetfunk

"B-Boys and B-Girlssss!" was the shout that met me as I entered the room that was to house 'The Fringe Battle' – a street-dance and hip-hop competition complete with a live DJ and an open-for-all dance floor in the middle. The dancing was truly impressive, whether in a solo or crew battle, the agile dancers would twist and flip around each other so fast that your eyes watered. However, four hours is a long time and, because there was a lot of performing rather than an actual performance, the show lost the initial zing that host JP Omari had very successfully created. It was fun, but a good example of the fact that sometimes, too much fun can be a bad thing.
